EncomPos Retail is customer centric, providing valuable consumer data and a full spectrum of customer oriented services.
Services such as Account Tracking for line of credit accounts documents the complete history of all charge and payment values for each customer. You determine each customers limit and from there, customers can charge purchases to their unique account. Billing is simplified with integrated invoicing and customers can quickly access their account information and make payments through the point of sale.
Store Credits are another tracked service. A return policy can often make the difference between where a customer shops. As an option to giving cash back, product returns can be issued as store credit in either a printed receipt for stores that do not maintain customer records, or directly to a customer’s account. For the later, the software maintains a continuous balance of redeemed and issued amounts for the customer while recycling your refund dollars back into sales.

And if you are looking to expand your selection but not your budget, customers can place Special Orders from supplier catalogs for merchandise not normally held in stock. The software tracks deposits and payments, automatically places the order into the Order Analyst, eliminating those cryptic handwritten requests you’ve been dealing with for years, and prints a Special Order ticket with the customers contact information upon receiving the Special Order. Simple, organized and complete.
For stores that offer services, such as repairs and assembly, EncomPos Retail handles integrated Work Orders. Services are easy to set up into inventory and sell at the POS. Personnel can add work notes to the invoice and attach warranty documents, both of which print from the POS to a back office printer when the sale is complete.
Customers can also benefit from our complete Rental package. Rentals are created and assigned to existing inventory products and rental timeframe options are defined. When a rental is scanned at the POS, the timeframes for the product availability are displayed for purchasing. The rental package also includes reservations and a spill over wait list, as well as customizable late fee’s. So if a rental is reserved for a specific date and timeframe, only the available dates will display at the POS. And on returning the rental, if late, fee’s are automatically charged to the customer’s account with the option to automatically authorize the amount to a stored credit card.
Gift Cards have become the latest hot retailing tool and are showing up in more and more retail environments. Last year alone saw nearly 50% of consumers spending twice the value of their gift card upon redemption. The use of EncomPos integrated gift cards enables thorough tracking of gift card history from date of purchase through the life of the card. And the cards are re-useable, helping to lower the investment so even small to medium sized businesses can afford to offer gift cards to their customers.
